A Democratic Congressman from western Wisconsin believes people in the state should be concerned about the war on terrorism.
Congressman Ron Kind of La Crosse says that’s especially the case with about 400 Wisconsin Army National Guard soldiers heading to Afghanistan.
He backs a bill that would give Congress more information on what troops are doing in Afghanistan and Syria.
Democrats in the House passed the bill, and it’s now going to the Senate.
There’s a sendoff in Menomonie today for soldiers from western Wisconsin that are part of the 32nd “Red Arrow” Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
Kind says it’s the second or third time that some of those troops have been to Afghanistan.
