A Fond du Lac woman is going to jail for eight months for stealing money from a 97-year-old woman in her care.
54-year-old Margaret Meyers is accused of withdrawing more than $310,000 over three-and-a-half years. Meyers claims she had a family member with a drug addiction and she was getting threatening phone calls. She’ll have to repay $27,000 and pay an additional $1,000 a month.
