Construction is underway on the new Brown County Expo Center in the Green Bay area.
County Executive Troy Streckenbach is calling the $93 million project a game changer. He says allows them to market in larger areas like Minneapolis, Chicago, and Detroit, and it will have a positive impact on tourism dollars.
County leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony this morning. The 120,000 square foot building will be on the site of the former Veterans Memorial Arena and Shopko Hall.
Streckenbach says they hope to finish the project by January of 2021.
