Investigators are searching for answers, after a murder-suicide in De Pere.
Police say 64-year-old Sharon Linzmeier shot her 65-year-old husband, Gerald, at their home on the south side.
Capt. Chad Opicka says officers weren’t called there, before Sunday night. He says there wasn’t anything that led police to believe that the shootings were even a possibility in that house.
Opicka says there were some indications that there were problems with the marriage. But he says others told investigators they didn’t see anything.
He hopes to learn more to help the family understand what happened, because it’s very emotional for them.
The two were found dead, when officers got to the house on O’Keefe Court. Opicka says it looks like Gerald was shot, while he was sleeping.
He says a family member was talking and texting with Sharon, and sent police there to check on them.
