Wisconsin Timber Rattlers fans may have set a new world record at last night’s game.
Dustin Mack from the History Museum at the Castle says a majority of the crowd helped break the mark for people “playing” air guitar. He says in the middle of the fourth inning the mascots stood on top of the dugouts and lead the crowd. Mack says more than 3,000 people took part.
It will take a couple of months for the staffers at the Guinness Book of World Records to certify the air guitar record.
The previous mark of just over 2,200 was set at a California casino in 2011.
The History Museum came up with the idea in connection with an ongoing guitar exhibit at the downtown Appleton museum.
