Five groups are getting grants through a fund from the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.
Spokeswoman Megan Mulholland says the goal of the Bright Ideas Fund is to improve the quality of life.
They’re giving out nearly $110,000 in the latest round. Mulholland says they’re supporting groups that are developing a variety of programs.
Neighborhood Partners will use $20,000 to try to strengthen neighborhoods in Menasha. The Trout Museum of Art is receiving $12,500 for a year-long arts program for young people through the Outagamie County Youth and Family Services Department.
The Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley is getting $15,000 to support teen suicide prevention. About $20,000 will help a group cover the costs of GPS bracelets for people charged with crimes to help them get out on bail.
Rebuilding Together Fox Valley is getting $41,500 to add a full-time development and outreach manager.
