Appleton police helped catch a turkey that was making itself at home in neighborhoods on the north side.
“Gerald” is a young tom that was spotted at the Rennes Health and Rehab Center on Florida Avenue Thursday. He was captured in a net.
Officer Meghan Cash says the turkey was becoming a problem. She says he chased some kids and caused traffic issues.
A worker at Rennes took “Gerald” home and released him in the woods outside of the city.
