Sherwood leaders believe there’s a market for senior housing in the village.
Administrator Randy Friday says right now, older people are moving to other areas in the Fox Valley. He says with their population growth, and the aging population, there’s demand there for it. Friday says it just depends if they start with a more independent-living facility, or one that provides higher levels of care.
He says they’ve recently had some interest from private developers too.
The East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission studied the market for the village board.
