A tornado touched down on the southeast side of Green Bay last night.
Meteorologist Jeff Last of the National Weather Service in Green Bay is confirming the EF-0 twister. He says it moved southeast into Bellevue. He says the track was about six miles long, and up to nine yards wide.
Last thinks Green Bay’s east side took the brunt of the damage. An EF-0 tornado has winds of up to 85 miles an hour.
It’s the first tornado to hit Green Bay in almost 14 years.
Last says straight line winds also caused damage in Appleton and Oshkosh. There were reports of 71 mile-an-hour winds in Oshkosh.
