This year’s major work on Prospect Avenue in Appleton is wrapping up today.
The city replaced the underground utilities from Haskel Street by the railroad tracks west to Seminole Road.
City spokesman Chad Doran says they timed the project around when school was out at Appleton Xavier High School. He says it’ll be ready by the time students start classes next week.
Crews are scheduled to still be working on a gas line between Haskel Street and the high school until the end of next week. Prospect Avenue will be open but there might be flaggers there at times.
Construction barrels will be back on the busy street again next summer when the city rebuilds the street.
