Construction is starting today on a street on Appleton’s northeast side.
Work is getting underway on Highway JJ and drivers won’t be able to use the road for two weeks. The city will be replacing underground utilities between French Road and Lightning Drive.
The intersection with French Road will be partially closed for a couple of weeks. Only one lane of French Road will be open and temporary traffic lights will be in place. Starting on the second week of September Highway JJ will reopen but drivers won’t have access to any of the side streets.
The entire project is expected to be done at the end of October.
