A 15-year-old giraffe at the NEW Zoo in the Green Bay area died yesterday.
Curator Carmen Murach says Hodari sometimes didn’t have the best appetite over the past few months. She says the stomach and intestinal issues got worse, rapidly, over the weekend.
Hodari died around noon yesterday.
Murach says Hodari and their female giraffe Zuri were about two when they came to the NEW Zoo together. She says they’ll keep a close eye on Zuri, and look for another companion.
