Members of the Oshkosh Common Council may take a stand on gun control and violence.
Mayor Lori Palmeri wants to prepare a proposal that supports additional background checks and a “red flag law” supported by Governor Evers and Legislative Democrats.
Police Chief Dean Smith says he and his peers support the idea of removing guns from homes in crisis.
Palmeri hopes to bring the gun control proposal before the common council for a vote next month.
