A local health care provider is giving people the option of seeing a doctor online through a video visit.
Ascension Wisconsin is starting the 24-7 service. Chief Nursing Officer Heather Schimmers says people can talk with a doctor one-on-one on their smart phone, computer, or tablet. She says it’s for non-emergencies like a cold, the flu, or child’s possible ear infection. She says they’ll do the assessment over the phone and can call in a prescription if needed.
An online visit costs $49.
