The state Department of Justice releases the names of those involved in a fatal police shooting in Kaukauna. Edward Alexis Lopez-Ucles was shot and killed on September third following a high-speed chase with police that started in Appleton and that ended following a crash in Kaukauna. Fox Valley Metro Police Officer Sam Pynenberg shot Lopez-Ucles while trying to take the suspect into custody. Pynenberg has been with the Fox Valley Metro Department for one year. No other details into the shooting have been released yet. The Division of Criminal Investigation is handling the case–and will present its finding to the Outagamie County District Attorney for consideration of charges.
