The DNR says tests show there are low levels of PFAS in the Peshtigo River.
The chemicals are used in things non-stick cookware, fast-food wrappers, and firefighting foam.
The agency took samples from four places along the Peshtigo River. The agency also tested several other rivers around the state for PFAS.
