A potentially toxic silage spill in Brown County is now under control.
Materials from a silo at Ledgeview Farms were flowing into Bower Creek last Friday.
DNR Runoff Management Specialist Joe Baeten says the farm is using more equipment around the silo to contain any materials. He says they’ve had staff on site, and they’ll continue to check on the situation.
Baeten adds that only surface water was impacted by the leak, and they don’t think there was a risk for groundwater to be contaminated.
