A new holiday display is opening later this month in the Appleton area.
The Fox Cities Festival of Lights will debut at Darboy Community Park in Harrison.
Shaun Forslund is one of the organizers, and he tells Hayley Tenpas on Focus Fox Valley it took a couple of years to plan. He thought about the possibility a few years ago, after helping with the Oshkosh Celebration of Lights for several years. He says the Fox Cities should have a similar event.
Forslund says they picked Darboy Community Park because of its walking trails and wooded areas. He says people will be able to walk, and check out about 100,000 lights on custom-made displays.
The grand opening is on Friday, November 29th. The lights will be up until the end of the year.
