A number of groups will be working in the Oshkosh area to prevent marijuana and alcohol use.
The Winnebago County Drug and Alcohol Coalition will use a five-year, $625,000 federal grant.
Stephanie Gyldenvand of the Winnebago County Health Department thinks Oshkosh is a great place to start. She says a number of groups are already getting together to address issues.
The federal government gave a similar grant to Calumet County last year. Gyldenvand says right now, they’re the only two counties in northeast Wisconsin to receive that grant.
