The Oshkosh School District will not get as much as money hoped for the former Smith Elementary School.
The district received just one offer in a second round of bidding on the 100-year old school building. It came from a group headed up by local developer Tim Hess, for $400,000.
The district was listing the Smith property for $650,000.
School board member Jim Evans looks forward to seeing the building still in use.
Smith Elementary was closed over the summer because of roof issues and declining enrollment.
