Oshkosh West students call yesterday’s shooting incident traumatic and harrowing.
Junior Caitlyn Geho found it hard to stay calm.
Junior Nick Vey just wanted to get out.
He says he heard shots fired and people sprinting down the halls.
The Oshkosh School District will have counselors on hand at four school locations today to work with students.
Classes have been canceled throughout the public school district for the day.
For parents of Oshkosh West students yesterday’s wait to be reunited with their kids was long.
The line to get into the evacuation site, Perry Tipler Middle School, wrapped around the block.
Most parents waited more than an hour to get their child because the school district required them to show photo identification and fill out a release form.
