An Oshkosh man agreed to plead no contest to charges that he killed his newborn son, by shaking him.
Twenty-nine-year-old Cory Lyons was convicted of first-degree reckless homicide in Winnebago County court today.
Prosecutors say he was watching the two-month-old at a home on W. Eighth Street in Oshkosh, in December of last year. They say the baby’s mother had gone to work for the first time, since he was born.
The child died later that night at a hospital.
Prosecutors say Lyons admitted to shaking the child, because he was frustrated with him.
He’ll be sentenced in March.
