Oshkosh police say a suspect choked an officer on the southwest side early this morning.
The 30-year-old officer was trying to arrest a 29-year-old Milwaukee man around 1:15 p.m. while he investigated a suspicious situation, along the 1800 block of Robin Avenue.
Police say the man was taken into custody, and the officer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect could face a charge of battery to a police officer.
