A six-year old girl was hit and killed while she was trying to get on her school bus in Waushara County.
The State Patrol says the kindergartner and her four-year-old sister were waiting for the bus along Highway 73, just south of Plainfield around 7:15 a.m. today. They were hit by a car that was heading in the same direction as their bus.
The six-year-old died at the scene. The four-year-old was hurt, and is recovering at home.
They’re students in the Plainfield Tri-County Area district.
