The state Senate is confirming the pick of Governor Evers to lead the DNR.
Secretary Preston Cole has already been on the job for 14 months. Majority Republicans also confirmed Emilie Amundson as the secretary of the Department of Children and Families.
Majority Republicans have been slow to confirm the governor’s picks, and rejected one for the first time in at least 32 years. Typically, the Senate quickly confirms a governor’s cabinet members.
