The superintendent of the Altoona school district in western Wisconsin is facing federal human trafficking and child pornography charges.
Thirty-two-year-old Daniel Peggs is accused of using an iPhone to make a child pornography video in December of 2015. Prosecutors say he started recruiting the child a couple of months earlier.
An Altoona student wasn’t involved in the video.
Peggs was working for the Gilman school district at the time. He also taught in Chippewa Falls.
