After neighbors of a controversial sculpture in Appleton complained about not knowing about it, the city wants to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
“The Collective” is on the west end of the College Avenue Bridge. The city’s public arts committee approved a change in the city’s policy this morning.
Jessica Thiel of the community development department says the city would notify neighbors within 100 feet of a location.
The city council will have the final say on the proposal.
Next Monday, the city’s municipal services committee is going to talk about possibly forcing Sculpture Valley to move “The Collective.”
