A documentary is giving people a chance to look inside a long-term care facility, even though visitors aren’t allowed right now because of COVID-19.
St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna released the film on YouTube.
President Sondra Norder says it shows how they’ve been systematically going through their routines, and creating a new normal. She believes workers are finding ingenious ways to keep people active and socialized, when they’re otherwise told to keep people apart.
Visitors haven’t been able to go into the facility since March 12th, and family members have only been able to see their loved ones through video chats. Norder says that’s one of the reasons they made the documentary.
