The Oshkosh Common Council will go behind closed doors tonight for an update on the bankrupt Menominee Nation Arena.
Last week, the city served the owners, Fox Valley Pro Basketball, with a notice that they have 90 days to pay $350,000 in back property taxes, and $41,000 for city services, or lose their TIF payments.
Fox Valley has been trying to sell those future payments from the city to an investor now, for an immediate cash influx.
The arena’s reorganizational plan was based upon the sale of those TIF payments.
