A Republican is officially running for U.S. Senate in the fall of next year.
Former Marine Kevin Nicholson of Delafield threw his hat in the ring today by releasing a video. The video brands him as a “conservative outsider.”
It also focuses on Nicholson’s military service in Iraq and Afghanistan, and addresses his past as a Democrat. He was the national president of the College Democrats of America.
Nicholson says after his experiences in life, he couldn’t help but become a strong conservative.
A number of other Republicans are also considering challenging Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin of Madison. They include Madison businessman Eric Hovde, state Rep. Dale Kooyenga of Brookfield, and state Sen. Leah Vukmir of Wauwatosa.
