The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department could be moving to Appleton’s northeast side next month.
Work is continuing to remodel parts of a county-owned building in the city’s Northeast Business Park.
Undersheriff Mike Jobe says they needed to create a secure evidence room, and set up an entrance for the public.
The county bought a building on Goodland Drive last fall.
Sheriff Brad Gehring had been pushing to move the department outside of downtown Appleton to improve response times.
