A neo-Nazi group is canceling a planned event in Eau Claire.
Spokesman Cory Klicko says they’re calling off the September 16 gathering because of controversy surrounding it. He says he’s also received threats against him and people close to him.
Klicko says he’s withdrawing his affiliation with the National Socialist Movement. The UW-Eau Claire College Democrats were already organizing a counter-protest.
