Appleton’s swimming pools will be closing for the season tomorrow.
It will mark the end of the debut of the new Erb Pool.
Pools supervisor Kabel Helmbrecht says crowds were at capacity for the first two weeks. He says they remained strong this month.
He says the numbers at Mead Pool were also solid. Because Erb was new, Helmbrecht says it drew some people from Mead and around the Fox Cities.
Erb Pool will be open a little later than normal for the final day tomorrow. Today is actually the final day for people to swim at Mead. The city is hosting Dog Day at the Pool tomorrow, and people won’t be allowed in the water.
