An expert doesn’t expect gas prices in northeast Wisconsin to climb too much in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
Nick Jarmusz of AAA Wisconsin says about half of the refineries in the U.S. are in the gulf region, but they don’t serve the northern states. He says they don’t think the storm will cause an immediate shortage in the south, and a scramble for supplies in other parts of the country.
Jarmusz says that should mute any effect on prices. He believes they could go up by less than 10 cents a gallon, in the area.
