Leaders from around the Fox Cities toured the construction site of the Fox Cities Exhibition Center in downtown Appleton yesterday.
Kurt Wolfgram is the project manager for Miron Construction. He says they are 65 percent done, and they are maintaining the schedule despite the amount of rain this summer.
Workers will start pouring the concrete for the floor of the main expo hall on Friday. They’re also making progress on the outdoor plaza off of Lawrence Street.
Work started about a year ago on the $31 million project. There are hopes to hold the grand opening in January.
