A longtime Wisconsin political activist is joining the increasingly crowded Democratic field for governor.
Mike McCabe launched his candidacy yesterday at the Clark County farm where he grew up. He says his campaign will be about changing how things are done in the political system.
McCabe is casting himself as an outsider who would restore collective bargaining rights and push for a public option state-run health insurance program for all. He also supports a $15 minimum wage.
McCabe is the former executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, a watchdog group that tracks political contributions.
