A judge will decide the proposed sale of the Appleton Coated paper mill in Combined Locks.
A company named Industrial Assets was the top bidder at an auction on Tuesday.
The mill went into receivership.
Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson filed a formal objection to the sale. He believes other potential buyers didn’t get involved because there wasn’t enough time to vet the mill financially.
Nelson says there were only three weeks between receivership and the auction.
Village President John Neumeier joined Nelson in the objection.
Outagamie County Judge Greg Gill will make a ruling on the sale tomorrow.
