The Appleton Parks and Recreation Department is getting great response for a first of its kind hydration station along the Newberry trail in Telulah Park.
Chad Doran is a spokesman for the city. He says there are three parts of the fountain, including a lower level for pets.
Doran says it cost four-thousand dollars to put the three-tiered drinking fountain in and that’s not much more than a regular one.
He says there’s talk of adding more along other trail routes.
Doran says the tricky part is finding a site close to a clean water site.
