The obituary for a woman found dead in a home in Kimberly says she was a victim of domestic violence.
The Outagamie County Coroner’s office confirms 38-year-old Laurie Colon and her 42-year-old husband Greg Colon were discovered inside a house in the 300 block of N. John Street late Friday afternoon.
Fox Valley Metro Police say they both died of gunshot wounds. Capt. Jeremy Slotke says they’re not looking for any suspects.
Court records show the couple filed a joint petition for divorce in April. Slotke says they were separated.
Laurie Colon’s obituary also says the two were married for 15 years.
Slotke says it’s still an active investigation, and they continue to review and process evidence, conduct interviews. He says when they’re confident their work is finished, they’ll release the official findings.
