One of the administrators for the state Department of Public Instruction is in line to be Wisconsin’s next superintendent of schools.
Governor-elect Tony Evers announced Carolyn Stanford Taylor will be the leader of the agency.
Evers currently holds that job. He says he intends to appoint Stanford Taylor, once he’s sworn in as governor.
Right now, Stanford Taylor is an assistant superintendent for the agency, overseeing the division for learning support. She would finish the rest of Evers’ term, and it runs until the spring of 2021.
