FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Criminal charges are filed against a Sheboygan teenager accused of causing a fatal crash earlier this month.
Madylin Blonigen is charged in Fond du Lac County Court with knowingly operating without a valid license causing death and causing great bodily harm.
According to the criminal complaint. Blonigen did not have a driver’s license when the SUV she was operating ran off County Highway HH in the town of Calumet last Saturday. The vehicle launched into the air and rolled over, killing one passenger and seriously injuring two more.
Blonigen reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana before the crash as well.
She faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted.
