A local company plans to expand in Little Chute.
GLK Foods is the world’s largest sauerkraut company, and it has a big plant in Bear Creek.
Little Chute Village Administrator James Fenlon says they’re working on a deal for a 70,000 square foot plant. He says GLK Foods would process pickles there, for the company’s Oh Snap! line that’s doing well in convenience stores.
Fenlon says the facility would be on Evergreen Drive, between French and Holland roads. He believes the development would have a value of about $5 million, and 30 to 50 people would work there.
The village board still has to finalize a development agreement.
