Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Leonard Pitts Jr joined Josh to discuss a recent column on the challenges of a black writer reaching his mostly-white audience, his new book “The Last Thing You Surrender,” tracing two families (one black, one white) from the Jim Crow South to Europe in World War II, and his thoughts about our mysterious “national conversation” on race.
After the interview Mr Pitts weighed in on the controversy surrounding a Black History Month resolution in the Wisconsin Legislature.
