For the first time in more than two decades, Catholic school enrollment is up in all six regions of the Green Bay Diocese.
Superintendent Todd Blahnik credits innovative teaching plans, and the statewide school voucher program. He also believes their “just right learning level” initiative is creating interest. He says if students are performing above their grade level in certain subjects, they’re able to move up for those specific classes.
Overall, enrollment is up two percent in the diocese this school year. There are about 9,000 students and 1,000 teachers. The diocese has more than 50 schools, across 16 counties.
