Some local Vietnam veterans will take a trip back to the country where they fought about 50 years ago.
Around 50 vets are taking part in the first Old Glory Honor flight to Vietnam.
Action 2 News Reporter Jeff Alexander is going along. He says they’ll start out in the far south, in a region formerly known as Saigon, and work their way to Hanoi.
The tour company interviewed the participants to find out where they served. Alexander says some will literally be going back to the battleground where they fought.
During a meet-and-greet, Alexander says the veterans expressed a wide range of emotions. He believes some are nervous and apprehensive because they lost many buddies there.
