People in Oshkosh will be getting monthly utility bills soon, instead of quarterly ones.
The city is moving to a different cycle for charges for water, sewer, storm water and fire protection, starting in May.
Spokeswoman Emily Springstroh says other communities around the state are making the change, and it’s more in line with monthly budgeting practices of customers.
In order to get everyone on the new cycle, the city will be sending what’s called a “transition bill” in April.
Springstroh says it could be a little bigger, or smaller than normal, depending on when people get their usual quarterly bill.
The city offers automatic bill payments and email billing.
