A woman from northern Oconto County is in disbelief after looking at the damage to her property from the weekend storms.
Carrie Orr of Townsend says she rushed home Friday night and got inside just in time. She says she heard things crashing outside, but didn’t know what was happening.
Orr says falling trees destroyed a shed and totaled her car. She doesn’t want to start the cleanup process until an insurance company looks everything over. Orr thinks pictures wouldn’t do it justice.
A Townsend Town Board member says Orr isn’t alone. She hopes now that Governor Evers declared a state of emergency they’ll get extra funding to help the community recover.
