The storms are impacting supplies at the Community Blood Center.
Vice President of Donor Services Kristine Belanger says they’ve had a high number of cancellations since last weekend. She says people have obviously been busy with the storm cleanup.
She’s asking for 75 platelet donors to come forward to meet their needs for this week.
Platelets only have a shelf life of five days. They’re used for treating cancer, heart problems, and serious injuries.
