To mark the EAA’s 50th straight year in Oshkosh this year’s AirVenture features a display of planes that were at Wittman Airport for the first fly-in back in 1970.
Tim Serrat of Arkansas brought his 1968 Jodel D-11.
Builder Don Ferrel was the first to bring the plane to Oshkosh.
There are about a dozen of the original Oshkosh fly-in planes on display this week.
They’re located at the Brown Arch, right where they would have been in 1970.
