A nonprofit is getting involved with Brown County’s STEM Innovation Center.
The Einstein Project provides hands-on learning for kids. The building is going up on the UW-Green Bay campus, and it will be home to the university’s engineering school.
County Executive Troy Streckenbach believes The Einstein Project is a perfect fit, because younger students would get experience in STEM fields. He says it’s important to develop a pipeline to the university.
He says they’re on schedule to open the building in September. Stakeholders still need to raise another $1.8 million for the project.
